Initially formed in 2011, the band has experienced a few personnel changes along the way. With major influences stemming from the 1960s through to the mid 70’s, The Viewers have created a classic blend of music with echoes from that golden age fused with sounds from today.
Jangly guitars, vocal melodies, 3-part harmonies and driving rhythms all link together to provide the band’s unique sound. The line up includes; Paul Eustice (rhythm guitar/lead vocals), Mark Watson (lead guitar, vocals), Kevin Procter (bass, vocals) and Dave Stone (drums and percussion), and Carolyn Bruce-Spencer (vocals).
The band has previously released two studio albums; ‘All The Things We Never Had’ and ‘Let Light In’ and has just released its third studio album ‘Universal Sky’ which is available to buy from this site or via download. This was produced by legendary, Grammay award winning producer Nigel Gray (The Police).
Historically, The Viewers have mainly gigged in the West of England however, in 2016 and 2017 the band played further afield with two double appearances at Liverpool’s famous Cavern Club and the north of England’s best Mod/Retro Festival; ‘Stone Valley Festival in Co. Durham.

Born in Guildford, Surrey, Kevin started listenning to The Beatles from a very early age which triggered a general interest in music. He joined his first band in the early 1980’s and although starting as the bass player, he soon moved behind the drum kit, which had been his earliest passion. He rediscovered a love for the bass in the ’90’s and continued to contribute lyrics to various projects in the West Country before moving to Cornwall.
A number of local cover bands came and went before a change of direction introduced Kevin to Mark Watson (The Viewers’ current lead guitarist) and they formed part of an acoustic trio, ’25 Hours’. When Mark joined ’The Viewers’ early in 2017 Kevin continued to write and collaborate with musicians online before joining the band in July of the same year. Kevin has just had his first taste of life in an originals outfit with a recent radio appearance.
Originally from Torbay, Devon, Mark is fanatical about his music. He’s been playing guitar for 40 years or so now studying Classical Guitar to Grade 5 (but got fed up with all the exams). Mark’s a bit of an Axe Collector too with a fabulous range of guitars which have started to get an airing with The Viewers.
An accomplished music composer and writer, Mark’s built himself a little studio at his home. He also plays bass, keyboards and harmonica.
Mark moved to Cornwall about 6 years ago having previously played in various bands including ‘Still Life’ who gigged mainly in the Torbay area for about 9 years. He later joined/formed ’25 Hours’ with Kevin Procter before joining The Viewers in March 2017. More recently, Mark’s enjoyed gigging with The Viewers his first ever show being at Liverpool’s famous Cavern Club. He’s also enjoyed festival experience playing at The Stone Valley Festival with The Viewers in County Durham.
Born in Redruth , Cornwall Dave was introduced to music at an early age, His formative years during the sixties and early seventies were pivotal in establishing his main musical influences.
After leaving school Dave joined his first pro band ‘Freeway’ playing throughout the UK. He then worked predominantly in the West of England with 80’s band ‘Artistic Control’ and enjoyed regular appearances on BBC Radio and TV. During the 80’s Dave also played with well-known band ‘Metro Glider’ and signed to Racket Records with management by Charley Whitney. The band played many shows in London and throughout the country.
A seasoned touring musician, Dave has undertaken stints throughout Europe with the band ‘Smack’ and later ‘Tosh and the Blistering Soles’. He’s played through the 90’s up until the present day with a host of well-respected musicians working both live and in the studio. Dave joined The Viewers in 2014 and has been the band’s ‘power house’ ever since.
Born in the market town of Tavistock on the edge of Dartmoor, Carolyn had a passion for singing from an early age which saw her sing solo in church and take the lead role in various musical productions both at school and with the local dramatic society.
Carolyn has been gigging across the South West since the early 1980’s in various guises including a duo, as a solo artist and as lead vocal in a number of cover bands including a ‘Fleetwood Mac’ tribute band where she took the part of Christine McVie.
Carolyn met Mark Watson (The Viewers’ current lead guitarist) and soon after Kevin Procter (The Viewers’ current bass guitarist), and the acoustic trio ’25 Hours’ was formed. When Mark and Kevin joined ‘The Viewers’ in 2017 Carolyn became lead vocalist with a nine piece ‘Swing Band’ based in Totnes before joining ‘The Viewers’ in April 2018.
Carolyn’s years of musical experience has seen her hone her skills in the ‘dark art’ of harmonies and elevate the tambourine beyond its humble origins!
